TRAPPIST-1 receives Earth’s new music signal – with SHAKRA included!
A continuous music stream via laser is now being sent into space from a high-performance lab in the Atacama Desert, Chile – aimed directly at the TRAPPIST-1 system, about 40 light years away.
The project comes from an international research team involving NASA, ESA and SETI. The idea: to complement the Voyager Golden Record with a modern, emotionally rich and culturally diverse musical signal.

The signal is transmitted by laser, which is faster, more focused and less affected by interference than classic radio waves.
Whether anyone hears it? No idea.
